Sunday mornings are a busy time for kids' ministry here at First Church.  We welcome all families to come check us out!  There is a place for everyone! Please come upstairs and ask any friendly face you see to help direct you to the right classrooms for your children!  If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you are interested in serving somewhere in our ministry, please contact suzanne@thorenson.com.

The last day of Sunday School for this season will be May 18.

Sunday Mornings

at 9:30am

Nursery, 2's 3's & Pre-K:

We have Sunday morning worship to meet the specific needs of these little ones at 9:30am.  They will hear the stories of the Bible, sing fun songs and be involved in activities that bring God's Word to life. We have fun and learn about the Lord!

Elementary:

All kids, from Kindergarten through 6th grade, start their morning in the "Farm Room," a larger classroom.  We all worship together for the first half hour of Sunday School, singing worship songs and learning about our Bible story for the day in a creative way.  Each week is different, so it never gets dull!

For the second half hour, kids join their Sunday School leaders in their own classrooms for more in-depth learning.  Kids also have a chance to play some games and get to know the kids in their class better, while bonding with Christian adult volunteers.

Sunday Mornings

at 11:00am

At 11:00, we invite all families to join us for a "Family-Style" church service!  We expect that kids make noise and move more, so this service is more casual.  We even have a kids' bulletin filled with activities to keep little fingers busy for a couple minutes, at least!  The service usually runs a little shorter than the other two, going only about 45-50 minutes, to allow for shorter attention spans.

Towards the beginning of the service, we have a "children's sermon" with a few thoughts on today's sermon geared just for the little people.  We then allow Preschool kids to head upstairs with a wonderful volunteer for their own class while older kids worship with their families in church.

Worship is such an important part of the Christian life and we believe families need to worship together.  Consider joining us for Sunday School then staying for some family worship!
