NURSERY HOURS
Sunday Mornings 9:15 am - 12:15 pm
If you are in need of nursery care for Wednesday night FOCUS activities,
You are always welcome in the FUMC Nursery!
We invite you to utilize our nursery, where we make every effort to provide a loving environment with a qualified staff and facility.
We have different areas for each age group in our care. The infant room is for children from birth to 2-years-old. 2-year-olds are in their own classroom. Just down the hall, we also have preschool classes for 3-year-olds and PreKindergarten kids.
During the summer, we provide care for children 2 and under. We also offer a preschool class, where kids begin in the church service with their families, then head upstairs with their teacher for their fun class after the children's sermon.
Snacks and water are offered to the children in our care. Occasionally, parents may bring other snacks. Please make sure our staff is aware of your child’s allergies so we can provide your child with a safe alternative.
When you bring your child for Nursery, please help us by providing information necessary to ensure quality care. We ask that each child have a registration form on file in the Nursery that lists the child’s name, address, phone number, birth date, parent’s names, as well as other important information such as allergies.
CHECK IN PROCEDURE:
1. Find your child’s yellow card in the index card holder.( If your child does not have a card, take a blank card and fill it with your child’s information.) 2. Put a nametag sticker on your child and use the markers and labels provided to label your child’s belongings. 3. The Nursery Worker will give you the card that matches your child’s sticker. (You will need this card to pick up your child after the service.) 4. Talk to the Nursery Staff about your child’s needs. If your child has an allergy, we ask that you use the “BEE AWARE” stickers provided to list the allergy and place the sticker on your child as well. 5. Go downstairs and enjoy your worship experience.
CHECK OUT PROCEDURE:
1. Present your Nursery Card to the Nursery worker and pick up your child and their belongings after the service ends. Any Adult picking up your child must have the Nursery Card.
2. Please ask any questions or make any suggestions regarding your child’s time in the Nursery.
The Giving Tree
The Giving Tree (located next to the Nursery entrance) is our way of letting you know how you can donate supplies that we need in the Nursery. Items may include, napkins, Dixie cups, Batteries, Diapers, and Wipes. We greatly appreciate your help.
